Christopher M. Holland joined Tidewater Consulting, Inc in February of this year. Prior to joining Tidewater, Chris was the Associate General Counsel for United Space Alliance, LLC (USA). Chris was, and remains, responsible for USA’s active state legislative program in Florida. USA was created in 1996 as an LLC whose membership is 50% Lockheed Martin Corporation and 50% The Boeing Company. USA’s mission is to perform the Space Flight Operations Contract as the single prime contractor for the Space Shuttle program. Members of what is today the Tidewater team have been USA’s lobby resource since USA’s inception in 1996. Since this time, Chris and the Tidewater team have maintained a continuous visibility in Tallahassee and around the state as advocates for Florida’s space sector industries.

Chris first started working for the space program in 1985 as an environmental engineer for Pan Am World Services on the Launch Base Support contract. From there, Chris transferred to General Dynamics Space Systems on the Atlas program. As part of his job with General Dynamics, Chris actively lobbied the Legislature in support of more business friendly workers compensation laws.

Chris later left General Dynamics and took a three year sabbatical for law school. While in law school, Chris earned the designation of “Space Law Fellow”, “Public Service Law Fellow” and “Environmental Law Fellow”. Chris clerked for Lockheed Space Operations Company as well as wrote proposal language for the Launch Base Support Contract proposal during school.

Upon graduation, Chris returned to the Space program as attorney for Lockheed Space Operations Company (which became Lockheed Martin Space Operations within weeks). In 1996, Chris transitioned to the newly formed USA.
